FABREGAS NAMES HIS ALL-TIME CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SQUAD

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has named a star-studded champions league team dating back to its(CL) inception in 1992/93.

This was in response to a question posed by Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher.

 Born Cesc Fabregas Soler in Spain, the influential midfielder celebrated his 33rd birthday on 4th May, 2020.

 The mercurial player who also featured for Barcelona and Chelsea respectively, succeeded William Gallas as Arsenal captain under controversial circumstances.

 The former Spanish international was also named by Arsenal.com as their player of the season in the 2007/08 EPL season.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmciel was named in post by Fabregas.

In the defensive set-up, former Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole and former Bayern Munich versatile captain Philip Lahm completed the full back positions.

In the heart of defense,Fabregas named his former Barcelona team-mate Gerrard Pique and  former Chelsea stalwart Marcel Desailly.

In midfield, multiple champions league winner Clarence Seedorf was named alongside AC Milan legend Kaka.

Four-time African footballer of the year and ex Barcelona star Yaya Toure were named in a powerful midfield.

Barcelona legend Lionel Messi who is also a former team-mate of Fab was named alongside Cristiano Ronaldo who won the Champions league with Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Completing the attack was 2006 Champions league hero Samuel Eto'o Fils who netted against Arsenal in Paris.

Welsh international Gareth Bale was named on the bench where Coach Carlo Ancelotti-CL winner as player and coach will steer affairs from.
