JOINING CHELSEA IS A DREAM COME THROUGH - BEN CHILWELL

Ben Chilwell

Newly-recruited Chelsea left-back, Ben Chilwell has described his move from Leicester City to Chelsea as a dream come through.

Ben Chilwell, whose father hails originally from New Zealand was born three years after his father migrated to England in 1993.

The enterprising young left-back had to fill in the big boots of Premier league winner Christian Fuchs and had until his departure proven himself a worthy servant.

With his direct approach and energetic forrays, much will be expected of the young man who was born on the 21st of December, 1996 filling in the boots of Spanish international Marcus Alonso.

Chilwell made ninety-nine (99) appearances for Leicester City scoring on four(4) occasions from 2015 to 2020.

He has also represented England at youth level; U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-21 before being handed a call-up by Gareth Southgate thereby featuring for the three lions on eleven(11) occasions.

"Absolutely buzzing to sign for the club (Chelsea). Really exciting time for the club with a good squad. I can't wait to meet all of the lads and everyone around the building" wrote Chilwell on his twitter page.

He also expressed his gratitude to Chelsea manager Frank Lampard who he described as putting much faith in him.

"Special thank you to the manager for the faith he has shown in me. A dream come true. Come on you blues" wrote Chilwell.
